hunter x hunter - Does Killua have a crush on Gon? - Anime & Manga Stack Exchange
When Hisoka mentioned his personality test basis for nen-type, This could actually be a foreshadow about Killua and Gon's relationship. He knows that Kite's final test is to find Ging, and since that is the To Gon, it is a fair 'game' if Hisoka kills Kastro in a one on one fight or kills. gon and killua's relationship, its development and the major events that from here on out, and throughout the entirety of the hunter exam arc.
I want to dig at the deeper, horrible, gritty truths that are present in this story. I honestly feel like a lot of these things are not picked up on by everyone. If you have, thank you. I cannot even tell you how many times I have seen people say the cringiest things about HxH.
These are actual responses I have gotten. When I get a response like this, I literally start hurting on the inside and want to scream at them.
Did you not even try to understand the characters?? How did you even take any of this at face value? Contrary to what you may think at this point. This blog is NOT a rant lol. I wanted to do an analysis of the Killugon relationship.
People often ask me why I love Killua. I have been asked on several occasions if Killua is my husbando. NOT in the way of a husbando though. You have no idea how many people ask me that.
This is going to be part 1 of the Killugon analysis—I hope to get the second part out soon may have more? Killua cries over not being able to protect Gon while Killua fights Rammont 3.
The 7 Times Killua Cried Over Gon, and the 0 Times Gon Saw | Hunter x Hunter Amino
During the confrontation with Pitou while Pitou tries to heal Komugi. Since it means nothing to you. Killua breaks down about Gon in front of Palm. The one Gon needs most right now is you. Killua sees Gon in the hospital through the window.
This one is more of my interpretation of the scene: Have you noticed this? This is going to be the focus of the Gon side blog. Why does Killua do this? That brings me to my next main point: He openly admits to this.
In the conclusion of the Hunter Exam arc, Killua tells Illumi that the only thing he wants in life is to be friends with Gon. Killua chooses Gon over his family end of Zoldyck arc. Killua follows Gon through everything, no matter what. There are soooo many events, but I will only point out the major ones for now. Notice that everything they do happens because Gon wants to.
Hunter x Hunter
When did Killua ever make a major decision? Killua has never had anything that was important to him until Gon. Killua would die to protect Gon because Gon is all that he has in this world. Thus, this triggers Killua to blame himself for not being able to do anything to help Gon. All he cares about is Gon, that Gon is happy, that Gon is safe, that Gon is satisfied. Not once has Killua ever cried over himself. Every problem Killua has overcame, he did so for Gon.
I said something about romance earlier, didn't I? Well, one of my favorite animes of all time include Tsubasa Chronicle and School rumble, but aside them I've seen many more great romance stories. They don't even come close to Killua and Gon. I was wondering why I Think it comes from how natural is the relationship of the leads in hxh.
You see, the listed romance anime are only about the romance and whatever drama or comedy can happen around it. The only exception on the list is the Tsubasa Chronicle that has way too little of it, using it as a background motive.
The thing is, romance is a part of a life, not a constant event that keeps taking place everyday, changing the world and stuff. People just get together, they like each other and then they find out that the thing they want to do is to be together for as long as possible. Killua might have the most realistic approach to romance out of all the leads in common romance animes. The series is hard to describe, it's just amazing. The quality is what made it so good.
It's not inventing anything new, it's showing you a gemstone polished beyond belief. Even the world while vast is presented in a natural fashion.
With the exception of the ending arc. That's probably the one thing I didn't like. So I get the ending. Yoshihiro sees that the Gon and Killua's storyline reached it's peak.
However, he still needs Gon and Killua out of the picture, so that the story can focus on other leads and let the main cast cool off after a way too epic arc.
First thing he needs to do is have Gon meet Ging. So Gon just kinda stumbles upon him. I knew it was weird that he's finding absolutely no clues, but gimmie a break. After that, he needs to give characters motives to not be around for whatever arc he wants next.
Taking away Gon's nen is a nice and clean solution. But that leaves Killua, whose only motivation is to stay with Gon. We decided we don't want that, it's too hard to do right and the romance was an undertone of the story
